Welcome to the Diocese of Maryland Christian Formation website!

A candle on the altar in the Peace Chapel of the Cathedral of the Incarnation in Baltimore Whether you are paid or volunteer, clergy or lay, sometimes it is hard to remember that you are not alone. There is a whole community out there that has, at one time or another, been in the same situation. My hope is that we can come together to share ideas, successes and the occasional flop.

When I started out as a brand new Coordinator for Christian Formation, my “go-to” site was Google. Not that there is anything wrong with doing a very general search on “communion for children”. But most of the time it was not very successful. I did not even know where to start. Hopefully, when you are in that situation, you will start here.

Our thought was to divide resources into three groups; Educational, Professional, and Seasonal. Under educational resources you will find resources for children, youth, adults and families, everything from implementing the Children’s Charter to ideas on youth bible studies. Professional resources include samples of permission slips, letters of agreement, and information of different curriculums. Seasonal resources are just that, activities for the beginning of the year, Advent, Lent, etc. All of the sections have links to other blogs and website. Please browse around and see what you can find.

Blessings on your ministry,

Hannah Graham
Chair of the Diocesan Christian Formation Council

These beloved marshmallow creations that have become a mainstay of Easter baskets can now become the central characters in entries to the diocese’s All God’s PEEPS contest.
