RESOLVED, that this 225th Convention of the Diocese of Maryland, meeting May 1-2, 2009, requests the 76th General Convention of the Episcopal Church to direct the Program Officer of Domestic Justice and Jubilee Ministries to assist the dioceses of The Episcopal Church to establish and support summer camps for children who have parents in prison, who are on parole or probation or who have experienced a parent’s incarceration; and that the Program Officer of Domestic Justice and Jubilee Ministries report to the 77th General Convention on his/her progress; and that the General Convention request the Joint Standing Committee on Program, Budget, and Finance to consider a budget allocation of $75,000 over the next triennium for the implementation of this resolution.
