RESOLVED, that the Episcopal Diocese of Maryland will encourage all parishes to celebrate and hold a Prison Ministry Sunday each year, making available appropriate Prayers of the People; and be it further
RESOLVED, that the Episcopal Diocese of Maryland will encourage parishes to seek out and structure partnerships with people in prison and their families, those who work or volunteer in the prison system and help ex-offenders return to society in productive ways by working with and encouraging re-entry programs; and be it further
RESOLVED, that the Secretary of Convention forward a copy of this resolution to the appropriate committee of General Convention 2009.
